The Expanse season 5 episode 10 preview discussion (NO SPOILERS). What will happen next after episode 9? S05E10 “Nemesis Games” Please subscribe! - http://bit.ly/PetePeppers
Episode 10 of the Expanse’s fifth season will premiere on February 3rd. This is a preview discussion that picks up where my previous video left off - https://youtu.be/x-4a_gv0CYk Season 5 of the Expanse is a close adaptation of the book Nemesis Games where Marco Inaros (Keon Alexander) and the Belter faction “The Free Navy” launched an asteroid attack against Earth. The finale episode is named “Nemesis Games” and this preview video discusses what we can expect to happen without going into book spoilers. Amazon Prime did not release an official episode 10 trailer, so we put together this promo video to discuss where all the characters are at in their stories.
In episode 9 James Holden (Steven Strait) noticed the fake distress call from the Chetzemoka in Naomi’s voice had been altered. Alex Kamal (Cas Anvar) and Bobbie Draper (Frankie Adams) also heard the change on the Razorback. The ship is rigged with explosives that are triggered by a proximity sensor, and Naomi is using anything she can to try to warn her crew. In episode 10 both the Rocinante and the Razorback will be burning towards the Chetzemoka to try and save her, and she will try to help them avoid Marco’s trap.
Drummer (Cara Gee) and her faction have been in a tense arrangement with the Free Navy. Karal is on their ship and they traded their husband Serge to the Pella as tribute. Drummer knows Naomi is on the Chetzemoka and may rebel against Karal in the season finale.
Naomi (Dominique Tipper) was able to escape the Pella in episode 7 by making a hard vacuum transfer, but now she is trapped on the Chetzemoka. In episode 8 she managed to alter the fake distress call in hopes that anyone coming to rescue her will use caution. In episode 10 she may be rescued, or her ship could kill Alex and Bobbie when they approach.
Filip (Jasai Chase Owens) and Marco have been traveling on the Pella, and may be heading towards the Sol Ring Gate. Marco has also ordered
On Earth Amos (Wes Chatham) with Clarissa Mao (Nadine Nicole) have finally made it off planet Earth. They convinced his childhood friend Erich to help them, and now the three of them should arrive on Luna in episode 10. Clarissa is an escaped convict so it’s not clear how she’ll be able to travel.
The other big question for season 5 episode 10 is how Avasarala will approach the conflict with the Belt now that she is Secretary General again. Avasarala made a strong case for caution, saying that killing innocent Belters would radicalize millions, but the UN attacked Pallas Station.
Let us know what theories you have about season 5, and how you think his story will end. If you’ve read ahead in the book series, please make sure to mark any book spoilers when you comment.
